English Papuan Contextual Coursebook

English Papuan Contextual Coursebook

EPCC Volume 1 is the first step in a growing series designed to help Papuans learn English in a way that's relevant, easy to understand, and truly empowering.

We believe every Papuan deserves to feel confident speaking English — not afraid of it.

Because one day, we want every Papuan learner to proudly say:

"With English, I am at home anywhere." 🌍

English Papuan Contextual Coursebook

SAGU Foundation proudly presents the English Papuan Contextual Coursebook (EPCC)

Created by Diana M. Kambuaya, M.Ed., our Academic Program Manager, with contributions from Ajaibik Sonai Morin and Emma Ronsumbre as Content Contributors, and Romibo Rumaikewi as Audio Editor.

This coursebook was made possible through the YSEALI Professional Fellows Program Alumni Accelerator Project Award 2024.

This short video captures the journey of how the book came to life — beginning with a simple but powerful prayer in 2007, and brought to fruition through an international award in 2024.

The EPCC is Volume 1 of what we hope will be a continuing series designed to help Papuans learn English in a way that feels relevant, accessible, and empowering.

"With English, I am at home anywhere." 🌍

Because English shouldn't be something to fear — it should be something to embrace.
